Poppy Vase
The Irish called it cailleach dhearg, the Red Hag, and once named it the Witches Flower for its habit of appearing where it had no right to be, pushing through cracks in stone, blazing from the edges of fields, refusing to be tamed. This handbuilt stoneware vase captures that spirit. Bold red hand-formed poppies and butterflies, in vivid underglaze colours, wind around the square vase under a glossy transparent glaze, with my signature ladybird tucked somewhere amongst the blooms.
Available in medium and large, handmade from stoneware clay in Sixmilebridge, Co. Clare. Each piece is made to order just for you, please allow around 4 weeks for delivery.
Large: base 8cm x 8cm, top 14cm x 14cm, height approx. 28cm tall approx.
