There is something about yellow in the Irish summer, buttercups taking over the garden, dandelions pushing through every gap, and Golden Samphire catching the light against the limestone of the Burren. It is the colour of long evenings and warm afternoons when the Irish hedgerows and meadows are fully alive.

This handbuilt stoneware vase captures that brightness, hand-formed blooms in vivid yellow underglaze scattered across the stoneware surface, finished with a glossy transparent glaze. My signature ladybird is tucked somewhere among them.
