The Burren is one of my favourite places, particularly in the wild Irish weather, when the limestone landscape feels almost prehistoric and the wildflowers pushing through the cracks seem like a small act of defiance. This candle holder brings that landscape indoors. Part of the Burren Collection, it is decorated with the wildflowers of the limestone landscape, Spring Gentians, Bloody Cranesbill, Golden Samphire and Daisy, painted in vivid underglaze and finished with a glossy transparent glaze. My hidden ladybird is nestled somewhere among the blooms.

As the candle burns, the warm light catches the wildflowers and throws the colours of the Burren across the room. The wide, round base makes it safe for tealights or small pillar candles, wax collects in the base and lifts out cleanly once cooled.
