The Calla Lily has long been a symbol of purity and new beginnings, which makes this one of the most gifted pieces in the collection, particularly for weddings, new homes, and milestone occasions. Lily blooms and butterflies wind around the stoneware surface, each lily painted with its characteristic pale yellow edge and deep blue spadix, finished with a glossy transparent glaze. My hidden ladybird is tucked somewhere among them, waiting to be found.

There is something particularly beautiful about candlelight with this piece, the warm glow catches the pale lilies and makes the butterflies seem to flutter. The wide, round base makes it safe for tealights or small pillar candles, wax collects in the base and lifts out cleanly once cooled.
