These oval wall plaques are a little piece of Creative Clay history.

When I first started making ceramic wall pieces back in 2015, ovals were my signature shape. There was something about the softness of the curve that just felt right. In 2022 I moved to rectangles, the ovals took a back seat, but never really left.

So when a recent order from one of my stockists in Killarney asked for them again, it brought me right back to those early days. I’ve decided to bring them out of retirement for a short while. They will be available until the end of 2026, then they’re gone again.

Each plaque is hand-rolled from stoneware clay, giving it a gentle, organic warp, then painted in vivid underglaze and finished with a glossy transparent glaze. Choose from my Fuchsia, Poppy or Lily designs, the three flowers that have shaped so much of my work. And as always, a hidden ladybird is tucked somewhere among the blooms.
